Dinkel is New Crop Production, Horticulture Extension Agent

Craig DinkelCraig Dinkel joined the staff of K-State Research and Extension Midway District as a Crop Production and Horticulture Extension Agent effective June 2.

The Midway District has offices in Ellsworth and Russell.

He earned his bachelor's degree in Agronomy from Fort Hays State University.

Dinkel has most recently been employed as a sales agronomist and crop consultant for Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Crop production extension agents provide leadership for the development of educational programming relative to crop production, management and marketing.

Local extension faculty are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local Extension Board.

The role of K-State Research and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve the quality of life for Kansans. K-State Research and Extension is the short name for the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service.
