Russell Firefighters Respond to House Fire Sunday Morning

FireOn Sunday at 4:03 AM, the City of Russell Fire Department was paged for a structure fire at 956 East 1st Street in Russell according to a press release from Fire Chief Dylan Riedel.

First arriving units on scene observed no smoke showing from the outside, but observed smoke starting to build up on the inside of the home.

An initial knock down was made with a fire extinguisher and a water extinguisher. The rest of the fire was put out by the arriving fire engine.

The fire originated in the pool room and then spread through the wall into the living room.

The cause of the fire was ruled as electrical.

There were no injuries.
