Friday Morning Crash Injures Three

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on Interstate 70 in Russell County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 9:30 AM Friday, a 1996 Buick Park Avenue passenger car driven by 83-year-old Marlyn Kaufman of Russell was westbound on I-70 just west of the Bunker Hill exit. Kaufman lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center median and struck an eastbound 2019 Toyota van head-on.
Kaufman and two people in the van, 44-year-old Antonio Fahardo of Bedford, Texas and 42-year-old Edith Jurdo-Ochoa of La Vergne, Texas, sustained minor injuries.
The two occupants of the van were transported to Russell Regional Hospital.
All were buckled up.
