Sanitation Routes Altered for Thanksgiving

City of Russell LogoCity of Russell offices will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Sanitation routes that are normally serviced on Thursday and Friday will be serviced on Monday or Tuesday. It is anticipated that heavy volumes of trash will be encountered on Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure your polycarts are out by 8 AM keeping in mind that the sanitation trucks have no set time for pickup throughout the day.

The recycling trailer, located at 236 East 9th Street, continues to be available for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Recyclable items that can be placed in the trailer include glass, aluminum, tin and plastics #1 through #7. Please make sure these items are rinsed and placed in the appropriate bin. No trash will be accepted.

Paper, magazines and cardboard will only be accepted at the Recycling Center at 337 East 9th Street during normal business hours.
