It's Winter Sports Week at Russell High School

2020 Winter Sports CandidatesSpirit days, crowning of the king and queen, basketball games and a dodgeball tournament all highlight the Winter Sports Week activities at Russell High School February 10 through 14.

This year's theme is Disney Movies. Dress-up days include Moana Day on Monday, Toy Story Day on Tuesday, Star Wars Day on Wednesday, Prince or Princess Day on Thursday and the traditional Red and Blue Day on Friday.

The Winter Sports royalty will be crowned between the varsity basketball games against Beloit on Friday evening.

After Friday's games, the dodgeball tournament will be held at the high school starting at around 10 PM.

This year's queen candidates are Megan Peeler, Janae Schulte and Whitley Leiker. The king candidates are Stephan Baldwin, Gavin Ewers and Braden Flax.2020 Winter Sports Attendants

The freshmen attendants are Kaylee Gould and Ezekial Boltin. The sophomore attendants are Regan Betts and Thitiwat Phetphan. The junior attendants are Kendra Bay and Kyle Lampert. The senior attendants are Liberty Decker and Kaden Baalman.

Friday's basketball games and coronation ceremony will be broadcast live on KRSL AM 990, 98.1 FM and streamed on KRSL.com.
