Russell Social Distances by Dragging Main

COVID-19 Drag Main 3-22-20 Danniell HeatonAmid the continued uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russell community came together Sunday evening to practice the small town version of social distancing, while still being able to see each other, by dragging Main.

For about an hour Sunday evening as the sun was setting the sound of horns honking and laughter echoed through downtown Russell as several families, community members and even a couple school buses drove up and down Main Street.

The event of course brought back memories from years ago, but also helped lift everyone's spirits during this time of fear and worry.

USD 407 Superintendent Shelly Swayne participated by driving a school bus.
