RHS FFA Judging Team Places 4th at National Contest

The four-person Russell High School Livestock Judging Team finished 4th Place Overall in the Livestock Evaluation Competition at this year's National FFA Convention this week in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The team consists of RHS Seniors Payton Stoppel, Jordan Moubry, Lane Mai and Clayton Moubry.
Other team results included a 4th Place in Keep Call Judging, a 5th Place in Written Testing, a 5th Place in Swine Judging and a 3rd Place in Team Activities. The team finished in the Gold Division of Team Activities, which is the top division. Individual awards included 1st Place Keep Call Judging honors for Lane Mai and a 7th Place Overall award for Jordan Moubry who also won a $400 scholarship for her efforts.
Just before the national convention, the team finished 3rd Place at the Indiana Stockman Contest in Lafayette, Indiana. The team qualified for the national contest by placing first in the Kansas FFA Livestock Evaluation Competition in May of this year.
This group from RHS has been judging livestock together as a team in 4-H and FFA for the past seven years.
