UPDATE: Head-On Semi Truck Collision Reported North of Luray

CrashA Wednesday head-on collision involving two semi trucks north of Luray on US Highway 281 sent a Great Bend man to a nearby hospital, but serious injuries were not sustained by either driver.

According to the Osborne County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Jake Varah of Great Bend was transported by ambulance from his rig to Osborne County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after 53-year-old Max Michel of Lebanon crossed the center line with his truck and struck Varah's. Varah has since been treated and released. Michel was uninjured.

The Kansas Highway Patrol, the Osborne County Sheriff's Department, Osborne County EMS and Luray First Responders worked the accident that happened about five miles north of Luray in Osborne County at around noon Wednesday.

Weather is not believed to have been the cause of the crash according to the Osborne County Sheriff's Office.
