Idaho Man Dies in I-70 One Vehicle Crash

Fatal CrashA man from Jerome, Idaho died of injuries he received when the semi truck he was driving flipped onto its side on Interstate 70 Thursday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 64-year-old Ronald W. Kehoe was driving eastbound on I-70 in a Kenworth semi truck pulling a utility trailer when for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway into the south ditch, re-entered the roadway flipping onto it's side and came to rest blocking both eastbound lanes.

Kehoe was taken to St. Francis hospital where he died.

The crash, which stopped eastbound traffic, happened just before 4 PM Thursday afternoon at mile marker 221 in Ellsworth County.

Kehoe was wearing a safety restraint.
