Late Season Snow Storm Hits Kansas

Russell View 9am 4-23-13An unusually late season snow storm moved across Kansas Monday and Tuesday.

Snowfall amounts range from one to three inches across Russell County to nine and a half inches in Goodland.

Roads were snowpacked and icy across much of Kansas, especially along Interstate 70.  I-70 was closed from Goodland into Colorado, but re-opened Tuesday morning around 9am.

Much warmer weather is forecast for the weekend.  Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s on Friday and 70s on Saturday.
