Vehicle Rolls Into Russell Home, Injures One

Car House Accident 1One Russell man was injured early Thursday morning and transported to Russell Regional Hospital after the vehicle he was in rolled into the side of a Russell residence.

According to Russell Police Chief Dale Weimaster, the 1983 Dodge SUV was traveling through the 400 Block of South Ash Street at 1:42 AM Thursday when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle lost control, rolled and struck the house.

Aaron Cross of Bunker Hill was the driver at the time of the crash and Michael Dawson of Russell was a passenger. One subject was transported to the hospital, but which man and their condition is unknown.Car House Accident 2

More than $1,000 worth of damage was done to the home and vehicle and according to Weimaster, the cause of the wreck remains under investigation.

The Russell City Fire Department, Russell County EMS and the Russell Police Department responded to the scene.
