Community Foundation Accepting Applications for Love Your Community Grant

Russell County Area Community Foundation LogoThe Russell County Area Community Foundation invites anyone who loves our community to apply for mini-grant funding.

The Community Foundation is awarding two, $500 mini-grants to projects that demonstrate and share our love for Russell County. Examples of community love include, planting flowers, sprucing up neighborhood parks, painting a mural, honoring our history or any other impactful project. The possibilities are endless and creativity is encouraged.

Two winners will be determined by the public based on votes received on the Community Foundation's Facebook page. Any non-profit organization, business, group or individual is eligible to apply. However, you can only submit one application per entity.

Grant applications are due July 24. Voting takes place on the Community Foundation's Facebook page starting at noon on July 29 through noon August 2. Winning applicants will be announced August 2.

"The Love Your Community challenge is part of our 12th anniversary celebration," said Angela Muller, Executive Director of the Foundation. "Since inception, the Community Foundation has returned more than $1 million to meaningful causes throughout Russell County and beyond. This contest is fun way to celebrate the continued generosity of our donors and their significant community impact," said Muller.
