Items Stolen, Damaged at Bridge Work Site

Crime PhotoA generator was reported stolen Monday and a backhoe was tampered with at a rural bridge work site three miles south of Dorrance on 200th Blvd.

The Russell County Sheriff's Office received the call of the possible criminal activity at just after 8 AM Monday.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a representative from Bridges Inc. of Newton - the company performing the bridge work - said he was missing a Generac XG6500 generator and there was damage to a backhoe from being hot wired as well as damage to a trailer.

A Sheriff's Deputy completed a report for burglary, theft and damage to property that occurred in the 3600 Block of 200th Blvd.
