Senator Dole Receives Honorary Degree

Bob DoleSenator Bob Dole received an honorary degree from the University of New Hampshire Law School Wednesday in a small ceremony at his Alston and Bird office in Washington, D.C.

Law School Dean John Broderick presented the degree to Senator Dole, who was unable to attend the Law School's commencement ceremony on May 17. New Hampshire Senators Kelly Ayotte and Jeanne Shaheen, along with former Congressman Bill Zeliff and Margaret Rudman, widow of the late Senator Warren Rudman, also attended the presentation.

The Law School recently established an endowed fellowship in Senator Dole's honor at its Warren B. Rudman Center for Justice, Leadership and Public Policy. The fellowship was created to fund the legal education of veterans committed to public service.
