Russell County Free Fair Offers Something for Everyone

FairPre-fair activities have already kicked off and the Russell County Free Fair officially begins July 22. Fair organizers and volunteers encourage you to come out and see what this year's fair in Russell has to offer.

From all the 4-H exhibits, to the nightly free entertainment stage, to the very affordable carnival, the annual turtle and frog races and so much more, Russell County Free Fair Board Member Michael Parsons says there is never a shortage of things to see and do.

He says one thing that's very special about the annual fair in Russell is if you have made, painted, drawn or photographed something recently, no matter what it is, you can submit it for open class judging.

Most of those open class entries must be submitted by Monday, July 21 evening, but for more information and a full schedule of events, go to russellfair.org.
