Kitchen Wins First Place KAB Student Award

Chandler KitchenRussell High School junior and KRSL Russell Radio part-time employee Chandler Kitchen has received a first place award from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) for radio DJ personality.

The KAB annually honors not only broadcast professionals, but also college and high school students from across the state.

Kitchen also works part-time at KPRD Praise Radio in Hays. He won the award for an aircheck on KPRD.

The student awards will be presented April 4 at Topeka's downtown Ramada Inn during the KAB's annual student seminar.

Kitchen received a second place award from the KAB last year for a station promotion announcement.
