The USD 407 Board of Education met Monday evening and discussed concrete bids for the Russell High School track, annual paper bids, state education funding and membership in the Kansas Association of School Boards.
Superintendent Angela Lawrence explains the RHS track concrete bids are in regards to constructing additional sidewalks at the Shaffer Field Complex.
Three bids were considered Monday.
The Board did accept a bid for the district's annual purchase of paper.
Also Monday, the Board talked about a newly proposed education funding bill in Topeka that will be considered following the State Legislature's spring recess. According to Lawrence, the bill looks similar to the school funding formula that was in place prior to the block grant funding formula.
The Board also voted at the meeting to renew its membership with the Kansas Association of School Boards and retain the association's legal counsel.Read More Local News
