Semi Crash in Ellsworth County Injures One

Jackknifed Semi 5-14-17A South Carolina truck driver was injured in a semi crash Sunday afternoon in Ellsworth County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 1 PM Sunday, a 2012 Kenworth semi tractor towing a box trailer driven by 74-year-old James Cervi of Bluffton, South Carolina was westbound on Interstate 70 near the Vesper exit or about nine miles east of Wilson when it veered to the left lane into the median striking the guardrail. It then crossed the eastbound lane coming to a stop across both lanes.

Cervi was taken to Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth.

He was buckled up.
