Ochs, Morgenstern Receive Russell County Farm Bureau Scholarships

Kansas Farm BureauThe Russell County Farm Bureau Scholarships were established in memory of longtime board members Randyl Becker and Margaret Denning.

The scholarship originated in the spring of 2007 in honor of longtime Board President Randyl Becker who died of cancer in 2006. In 2009, longtime Secretary Margaret Denning died suddenly.

Russell County Farm Bureau selected two deserving 2017 Russell High School graduates as recipients who are very active in school, community and youth organizations, show leadership ability, and are also outstanding academically. They each will receive $500 scholarships.

The first is Travis Ochs. He is the son of Margo and Kevin Ochs and will be attending Kansas State University majoring in Engineering.

Valarie Morgenstern also receives a $500 scholarship. She is the daughter of Michelle and Jim Morgenstern and is studying Pre-Nursing at K-State.
