Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Russell

CrashA Russell woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Russell.

According to the Russell Police Department, at 9:22 PM Wednesday, Russell Dispatch received two 911 calls from women involved in an injury accident at the Wichita and Front intersection.

Russell Police Officers, a Russell County Sheriff's Deputy, Russell County EMS and the Russell City Fire Department responded.

According to Police Chief Dale Weimaster, a 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Michelle Schultz of Russell was eastbound on Wichita Ave, turned left too sharp onto North Front Street and struck, head-on, a southbound 2005 Chevy Equinox SUV driven by Kara Snook-Hatch of Russell.

One woman was transported to Russell Regional Hospital by ambulance.

Both drivers were buckled up.
