Russell Mayor Signs Plaid on the Plains Proclamation

Plaid on the Plains City Proclamation 1By a proclamation signed Tuesday by Russell Mayor Curt Mader, November 24 through November 26, 2017 has been declared Plaid on the Plains weekend and encourages all residents of Russell to shop with locally owned businesses during the holiday season and all year round.

According to the proclamation, purchasing holiday gifts and shopping year-round with locally-owned businesses supports the economic health and resilience of the community, and supports our neighbors, friends and family members employed by local businesses.

Residents of Russell are fortunate to have diverse shopping options including unique local shops according to the proclamation.Plaid on the Plains City Proclamation 2
