Rep. Waymaster Awards Two Scholarships

Kansas State CapitolIn response to the scholarship applications for the Citizenship in Action Program in Topeka on February 18 and 19, Representative Troy Waymaster has decided to award two scholarships.

Rylan Reeves and Cora Anderson are the recipients of the scholarships.

Reeves attends Ruppenthal Middle School in Russell and is the Big Creek 4-H President.

Anderson is a freshman at Otis-Bison High School and is interested in the legislative process.

Reeves and Anderson will participate in a simulation of the legislative process through debate and interaction with others attending the weekend's activities.

The students will meet legislators, take tours, participate in debates in the House of Representatives and in the Senate, and develop policy.

Representative Waymaster is an alumnus of the 4-H program and is pleased to have such capable and qualified students to sponsor.
