Vehicle Versus Deer Accident Injures Alabama Man

Deer on RoadAn Alabama man was injured Sunday morning in a vehicle versus deer accident in Russell County.

According to the Russell County Sheriff's Office, at 2:11 AM Sunday, Russell Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a vehicle versus deer accident, but the caller didn't know where he was.

Dispatch mapping showed the call to be originating from a location near 198th Street between Luray and Lucas on Kansas Highway 18.

A Russell County Sheriff's Deputy, Russell County EMS and Lucas First Responders responded.

The driver, 28-year-old David Green of Birmingham, Alabama, was taken to Russell Regional Hospital.

The passengers in the 2015 Kia Forte, 26-year-old Randolph Bell of Hope Hull, Alabama and 29-year-old Brandon Henderson of Lapine, Alabama, were not hurt.

Everyone was buckled up.
