Russell City Council Discusses 2019 Budget, Upcoming Projects

Russell City Council 1-2-18The Russell City Council met Tuesday for its monthly work study and the 2019 budget and upcoming projects were discussed.

The Council heard presentations from Russell County Economic Development, Russell Main Street, Inc., Russell Area Chamber of Commerce, Options Domestic and Sexual Violence Services, and the Ad Astra Music Festival.

Due to the state tax lid law and budget constraints, many of the aforementioned entities saw their funding from the City cut significantly last year.
