Russell Sets Record Low Saturday

NWS Record Low 10-28-17Temperatures dropped Saturday morning to the teens in many places in Kansas according to the National Weather Service in Wichita. Russell dropped to 12 degrees, which set a record for October 28; the previous record was 19 degrees in 1952.

Criminal Threats Made Toward USD 407

ThreatTuesday morning, Russell County USD 407 administration and staff were made aware that an individual was allegedly making criminal threats against the school. Because of the nature of the threats, the suspect has been taken into custody by the Russell Police Department and detained in the Russell County Jail.
