2019 Regional, Sub-State Basketball Assignments Released

BasketballThe Kansas State High School Activities Association has released the 2019 Regional and Sub-State Basketball Tournament assignments.

This season, Class 1A will return to the Regional, Sub-State then State Tournament format. Class 1A is no longer divided into two divisions.

In Class 1A, there will be 16 Regional Tournaments with the first- and second-place teams from each Regional advancing to two different Sub-State Tournaments.

There will be eight Sub-State Tournaments in each class with the winners advancing to the State Tournament.

Regionals in Class 1A will be February 18 through 23, 2019. Sub-State Tournaments for all classes will be the week of February 25 through March 2, 2019. State Tournaments for all classes will be March 6 through 9, 2019.

Russell will play in the Hoisington Class 3A Sub-State with Southeast of Saline, Thomas More Prep-Marian, Hoisington, Smoky Valley, Lyons, Norton and Phillipsburg.

Sylvan-Lucas Unified will host a Class 1A Regional with Central Plains, LaCrosse, Natoma, Otis-Bison, Sylvan-Lucas, Victoria and Wilson. The corresponding Sub-State following the Sylvan-Lucas Regional will be held at either Russell or WaKeeney.
