Russell Places 6th at Osborne Invite

RHS Wrestling LogoThe Russell High School wrestling team opened the Dan Weigel era and the 2018-19 season on Saturday, Dec. 1 with a sixth place finish at the Osborne Bulldog Invitational.

The Broncos finished with 90.5 points. Minneapolis took the team title with 182 points. Smith Center was second with 153. Nine schools competed in the meet.

Seven of Russell's nine wrestlers who competed took fifth place or better in their respective weight divisions and four finished second.

Russell travels to Plainville on Friday, Dec. 7 for a double-dual with the Cardinals and TMP. Matches begin at 5pm.
