Two Area Wrestlers Remain Ranked by KWCA

KWCA LogoTwo area wrestlers remain ranked in Class 3-2-1A by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association ahead of this weekend's state tournaments.

Jacob Windholz, a sophomore from Russell High School, remains at #5 at 132 pounds. He has a record of 34-5 this season after going 3-0 and winning his weight class at the Russell Regional to qualify for state for the second-straight year. Tra Barrientes, a junior from Sylvan-Lucas, is the top ranked wrestler at 285 pounds. His record is 35-1 after going 4-0 and winning his weight class at the Russell Regional to qualify for state for the third-straight year

Hoxie remains the top ranked team in 3-2-1A followed by Norton, Beloit, Rossville and Larned. Hoisington is sixth followed by Republic County, Southeast of Saline, Plainville and Silver Lake.
