Russell's Sohm Headed to KWU

RHS Senior Jacob Sohm 5-12-20Russell High School senior Jacob Sohm recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.

Sohm was a two-year starter on the Bronco boys basketball team. As a junior, he played in all 21 games and averaged 6.8 points per game. As a senior, he played in all 21 games, averaged 10.2 points per game and led the team with 26 made 3-pointers.

Sohm was a three-sport athlete at RHS. In addition to basketball, he played football and tennis.

He joins a Kansas Wesleyan men's basketball team that went 18-12 overall and 15-9 in the KCAC (Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference) in 2019-20 and led by fourth-year coach Anthony Monson.

Jacob is the son of Curtis and Char Sohm of Russell and has a brother (Josh) and sister (Madison). He plans to major in Biochemistry.
