Broncos Split at Sacred Heart

The Russell High School baseball team split their NCAA league doubleheader with Sacred Heart in Salina on Thursday, April 4.

The Broncos lost the opener 11-2, but came back to win game two 9-6.

Kaden Rohr (0-2) took the loss in game one after allowing eight runs, two earned, on five hits over two innings.  Brandon Bachar (1-1) earned the win in relief in game two, allowing five runs on six hits over five-and-two-thirds innings.

Russell had 14 hits in the doubleheader.  Bachar and Rohr each had three hits.  Logan Braun and Grant Weber each had two.

The Broncos are now 3-3 overall and 3-1 in the NCAA.  Sacred Heart is 5-1 and 3-1 in league play.

Russell plays their home-opener on Tuesday against Colby.
