Two Area Standouts Sign with KCAC Schools

Wilson Senior Karlie SteinleTwo area standout basketball players will continue their careers at in-state colleges.

Last Thursday, Natoma senior Danica Casey signed with McPherson College.  Then on Tuesday, Wilson senior Karlie Steinle inked with Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.

Natoma senior Danica CaseyCasey (right) had a stellar high school career at Natoma, averaging 17.1 points and 9.7 rebounds a game.  She earned all-league and all-state honors as a senior and was invited to play in several all-star games across the state.

Steinle (above) is one of the best scoring guards in the state.  As a senior, she averaged 23.4 points and 10.5 rebounds a game and during her four-year high school career, Steinle averaged 20.1 points and 8.8 rebounds a game.  She earned all-league and all-state honors as a senior and is also playing in several all-star games across Kansas this spring and summer.

McPherson College and Kansas Wesleyan University are both four-year NAIA colleges and members of the KCAC conference.
