Broncos Fifth at Plainville Invite

RHS Boys GolfThe Russell High School boys golf team finished fifth at the Plainville Invitational on Monday, April 21.

The Broncos shot a 401. Plainville Red ran off with the team title with a 327 and beat second place Osborne by 29 strokes.

Plainville's Colton Bobek was the top individual medalist with a 73. Russell's Jerrit Zvolanek posted an 89 and was seventh. Also for the Broncos, Seth Gruber shot a 99, Tanner Brown a 103, Tanner Krug a 110 and Jacob Long a 114.

Russell was scheduled to go to Beloit on Thursday, but the tournament has been canceled. The Broncos are off now until May 1 when they host their own invitational at the Memorial Park Course.
