Russell's Rhodes Misses State; Victoria Boys, Natoma and Sylvan-Lucas Runners Punch Ticket

Russell had just one runner compete in the Ellsworth 3A Regional. Bobby Rhodes finished 21st with a time of 19:14 and missed a trip to state.

Victoria and Natoma took their teams to Tribune for the Greeley Co. 1A Regional. The Victoria boys finished fourth and qualified as a team for state. Victoria's Christian Meuli placed third individually with a time of 19:07, Chase Schmidt 16th with a 20:08, Quenton Engel 32nd with a 21:16, Alex Leroux 42nd with a 22:03, Keoni Sweat 43rd with a 22:07 and Nicholas Reukauf 57th with a 25:44. Natoma's Carley Chrisler also made state by placing ninth with a time of 24:03 in the girls race.

Sylvan-Lucas had two runners qualify from the Washington Co. Regional. Autumn Princ won the girls race with a time of 19:36. Jonathan Huehl took 11th in the boys run with an 18:31.

The 1A State Cross Country Meet will be held in Wamego on Saturday, Oct. 28. The 1A girls race starts at 11:10am with the 1A boys race beginning at 12:55pm
