Nichol Leads RHS Girls in Beloit

Track PictureThe Russell High School track and field team competed in the 78th annual Beloit Relays on Friday, April 27 at Trojan Field.

The RHS girls took 10th with 20 points. The RHS boys tied for 10th with 2 points. Beloit swept the team titles. The Beloit girls had 100 points and the boys 115. 11 schools competed in the 3-4A division.

Renee Nichol led the Russell girls with second place finishes in the long jump and triple jump. Jordynn Guenot was fifth in the 300 M hurdles. Jaclyn School took fifth in the 800 M run.

For the RHS boys, Austin Price finished fifth in the 300 M hurdles.

Russell hosts their annual Russell Relays on Friday, May 4 at Shaffer Field. Events begin at 3pm.
