Bustin' Ash Benefit Cornhole Tournament is Jan. 29 in Russell

A special cornhole tournament is being held on Saturday, January 29 in the Russell VFW to help the families affected by the December 15 Four County Wildfire.

Registration begins at 10 AM for the social tournament. Blind Draw is at 11 AM and a competitive double-elimination tournament starts around noon.

Entry fee is $20 per person with a $400 payout for the Blind Draw. There is a limit of 32 teams.

Entry fee is $40 per team for the competitive double-elimination tournament with an $800 payout. There will be a limit of 48 teams.

Payouts go to the top three teams and could increase based on sponsorships.

Organizers have set a goal of raising $10,000. A reminder, Bennington State Bank is matching funds up to $50,000.

Also, the Russell VFW will have an open bar and lunch will be available to purchase from Two Brothers and a Pig BBQ.
