KRSL/KZRS Summer of Fun Kicks Off June 24

The KRSL/KZRS Summer of Fun is back for an 13th year and we have three great events for the entire family!

We kick things off on Wednesday, June 24 with an AWESOME free movie at 7 PM at the Dream Theater in Russell. We’re also calling it our “Can Film Festival.” Instead of paying admission, we’d like you to bring non-perishable food items for the Russell County Food Pantry. Those who do will be entered for chances to win some really cool prizes.

Our second event is on Wednesday, July 15. Enjoy a free day of swimming at the Russell Municipal Pool from 1 to 7 PM. We’ll have plenty of prizes and surprises and we need your help that day. Bring school supplies like markers, pencils, crayons, glue, paper and Kleenex and fill the totes at the entrance of the pool. Those supplies go to Bickerdyke and Simpson Elementary Schools for the upcoming school year.

Our third and final event is Wendesday, August 5. Come out to Playdium Bowl in Russell and enjoy a free evening of bowling from 7 to 9 PM. But there’s a twist. It’s Xtreme Bowling. We’ll turn the lights down, turn the laser lights on and pump up the music. Plus, we’ll have giveaways. AND we’re helping a great cause by taking donations for the Russell Play Park. For every dollar you donate, you’ll receive a ticket. The more tickets you have, the better your chances of winning some great prizes.
