The City of Russell is seeking professional and community oriented individuals for a full-time Electric Apprentice and/or Certified Journeyman Lineman position.

This position includes the construction, repair, and maintenance of the City of Russell’s overhead and underground Electric Distribution and Transmission systems, which are vital to providing power to our community. Employees will be provided on-the-job training with opportunities for certification and continuing education.

As an Apprentice, education in electrical wiring or completion of a lineman training degreed program preferred.

As a Journeyman Lineman, five or more years of electrical distribution experience as well as a journeyman’s certification is required.

Applicant for either position must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License within twelve months of employment. Applicants must also establish residency in the City of Russell 6 months
from hire date. Pre-employment drug screening and job placement assessment are required.
