Bunker Hill Man Injured in Crash in Ellis County

A Bunker Hill man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Ellis County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 2:45 PM Thursday, a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer driven by 59-year-old Brian R. Pertl of Bunker Hill was traveling northbound on US Highway 183 at Bison Road in Ellis County.

The vehicle left the roadway and struck the northbound guardrail. The vehicle then crossed the roadway and struck the southbound guardrail. The vehicle crossed the roadway again, striking the northbound guardrail. The vehicle crossed the roadway and came to rest against the southbound guardrail.

Pertl was transported to Hays Medical Center.

He was buckled up at the time of the crash.
