Chamber Starting Second Farmer's Market in Russell

In an effort to bring more people to downtown Russell, the Russell Area Chamber of Commerce is starting a farmers market on the second Saturday in August and September.

This is being held in conjunction with Second Saturday Sips started by several downtown businesses.

The first one will be held this Saturday, August 8 in the parking lot just south of the Russell Senior Center from 9 to 11 AM.

Russell Chamber Member Services Director Lisa Moubry welcomes anyone who would like to set up as a vendor.

This will be a second farmer's market being held in Russell. The other takes place each Friday from 5 to 6:30 PM at Doo Store It on Van Houten Street. Organizers of both farmer's markets in Russell encourage everyone to come out and support our local growers and bakers.
