After one week of advance voting, Russell County Clerk and Election Officer Mary Nuss is already reporting some impressive numbers ahead of the November 3 General Election.

As of 5 PM on Friday, October 23, the Clerk's Office has received 452 of 808 mail ballots and 388 advance votes.

Nuss said the 808 mail ballots are the most she has seen since when Bob Dole ran for president in 1996.

Based on what she has seen so far, Nuss expects this election to be one for the books.
