Russell Regional Hospital has been undergoing facility upgrades and maintenance in several sectors of the health care campus.

Recently completed, the Specialty Clinic received a new fire sprinkler system. This keeps the system up to current standards and codes for safety and maintenance.

The gazebo located at the fitness trail west of the RRH campus was treated, painted and screens fixed so that Main Street Manor residents, staff and public can continue to enjoy the use of the shaded area to visit, get fresh air and enjoy the outdoors.

Another project nearing completion is the trauma room upgrade, new doors and divider in the Emergency Room. This upgrade allows for additional privacy for patients and the needed workspace for ER staff.

The next upgrade will be to the service elevator located in the east section of the hospital. The elevator operates to all four floors of the hospital and will be out of service for approximately six weeks starting on August 22. A new shaft and electrical upgrade will be installed to fix current issues that the elevator has been experiencing. The public is asked to use the elevator that is located in the west section of the waiting room at the RRH main entrance until the service elevator is updated. They apologize for the inconvenience, but look forward to the refurbished elevator being complete and make it a priority to keep the RRH health campus updated for current and future health care use.
