Starting October 1, Great Bend Co-op will be American Plains Co-op.

Board members, co-op leadership teams and employees are excited to announce that with the merger of Farmers Co-op of Carmen and Great Bend Co-op, they will be rebranding.

According to a press release, board members worked hard to identify a new name and logo that represents their new, more powerful company. With a vision of growth for the future and a focus on the pride of the hard-working producer, the name American Plains Co-op was born.

Change can be tough and they know that some will be concerned that the changing of the name means altering how they do business. American Plains Co-op pledges to continue the same top-tier commitment to providing producers with the highest quality service and products with enthusiasm and the utmost integrity.

In the coming months, they will be changing out signage and logos on vehicles, equipment, locations and more. Their website address and email addresses will change, but producers will still be able to access account information through the patron access portal.

"We are very excited to be rolling this information out to our patrons and grower-owners," said the release. "Working as one united team, our cooperative strives to offer the latest in technology and innovation. Safety for our employees, customers and communities will continue to be a top priority at American Plains Co-op. Growing with purpose. Growing with you!"

The meaning behind the new logo is the plants - growing with purpose, growing with you, the lines – the rolling expanse of the plains, the circle – all encompassing, providing a complete set of solutions for producers, and the colors red, white and blue – proudly utilizing the colors of the United States of America.
