Midway Extension District Update: Important Dates and Events Coming Up in February

The early year is filled with a bunch of fun and exciting events for the Midway Extension District of Russell and Ellsworth Counties. To talk about those dates and events, Erik Stone with KRSL invited Raine Bradshaw with the Midway Extension District on the Morning Show.

To start, they talked about Market Beef Weigh-ins coming up very soon for those kids partaking in that. Weigh-ins for Ellsworth County is Sunday, February 8 from 1-5 pm, and weigh-ins for Russell County is Sunday, February 15 also from 1-5 pm. 

The next weekend is District Club Days, and Bradshaw talked a little bit about the fun coming up this month:

Registration is already past due, but if registered, kids' entries for the show are not due until February 13.

Next, Bradshaw brought up a virtual learning opportunity about a variety of AG related topics. The Crop-Top Virtual Series will run on Tuesdays in February and March from 12-1 pm, starting on Tuesday, February 10. For more information about this series, visit their website or their Facebook page.

Another learning and networking opportunity is coming up next week, with the Seeding the Next Generation meeting. Bradshaw explained a little bit about this to Stone:
