New Exhibits Opening May 21 at the Deines Cultural Center

New exhibits are opening on Sunday, May 21 at the Deines Cultural Center in downtown Russell.

Featured on the first floor will be SLMM, The Society of Layerists in Multimedia. This group consists of artists working in a variety of mediums including ceramics, collage, painting, photography and mixed media from all across Kansas.

On the second floor, they will be exhibiting the sculptures of Great Bend artist Terri Horner. Horner works in ceramic, wood, carved stone, metal and found objects.

The opening reception is from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, May 21 and the two shows will remain at the Deines Cultural Center until June 21.

The Deines Cultural Center is located at 820 North Main Street in Russell. Hours are Noon to 5 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. They are closed on Mondays. Call 785-483-3742 for further information.
