In keeping with its mission of supporting communities, Nex-Tech is excited to invite all rural veterans with disabilities within the Nex-Tech service footprint to apply to this year's No Barriers Program.

The No Barriers Program is a transformative experience that helps participants overcome challenges, create new relationships and experience new possibilities. According to the organizers, the 2024 Warriors Program is designed to help veterans with disabilities achieve belonging, identity and purpose. The experience comprises a blend of online learning modules, meetups and an expedition in the Colorado wilderness. Experienced staff and expedition leaders will guide participants through a series of physically and mentally challenging activities. These may include rafting, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking and more. Throughout the experience, veterans will reflect on their past, recognize their present and explore future possibilities.

Learn more about the program and to fill out an application at nex-tech.com/nobarriers.

When filling out the application, in response to the question: "Is there anything else you'd like us to know when considering you for selection?"
Please indicate that you were referred to apply by Rural Telephone/Nex-Tech and that you reside within the service footprint.

The program is sponsored by CoBank, which provides financial services to rural and agricultural cooperatives, like Nex-Tech, across the United States. For over seven years, CoBank has partnered with No Barriers to bring rural veterans with disabilities to the Rocky Mountains.

Veterans who indicate a referral by Nex-Tech will be given selection preference. Applications are accepted through June 15, 2024. In-person expeditions will be held in July and August 2024. Expeditions will take place at the No Barriers Mountain Campus in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado.
