OCCF Impact Day Returns September 25
Osborne County Community Foundation (OCCF) will host its second annual Impact Day on Friday, September 25, giving area residents an opportunity to support local endowed funds while helping their gifts go even further.
This year, OCCF will provide $25,000 in matching funds for the participating endowed funds. The matching pool will be distributed proportionally among participating funds based on the amount of eligible donations each fund receives during the Impact Day giving period. No individual fund may receive more than half of the matching pool, or $12,500.
Impact Day online giving will open at midnight on Thursday, September 24, and remain open through 11:59 PM on Friday, September 25. Donors may give online during the two-day period or participate in person on September 25. Area producers can also participate by making a gift of grain on September 25.
Additional $11,000 Bonus Match
In addition to the $25,000 matching pool for participating endowed funds, the Patterson Family Foundation is offering OCCF an additional $11,000 match for the first $22,000 in donations received on Impact Day. This bonus opportunity will provide additional support to OCCF and strengthen the Foundation's ability to serve communities throughout Osborne County.
"Impact Day is really about bringing our community together around philanthropy," said Mindy Miller, OCCF Executive Director. "Whether someone chooses to support a community organization, a school, transportation, or another local priority, their gift can help build permanent charitable resources for the future."

Nineteen OCCF endowed funds are participating in Impact Day 2026:

● Poore Family Farms Fund
● Shady Bend Golf Course Fund
● Sims Family Fund
● Solomon Valley Transportation Fund
● St. Mary's Fund
● Tools for the Future Fund
● Twelve-Mile Fund
● USD 272 Fund
● USD 392 Fund
● Welch Family Memorial Fund
Each fund represents a different local priority or charitable interest, giving donors a variety of opportunities to support causes that are meaningful to them.
Building a Lasting Impact
Unlike a traditional one-time fundraiser, OCCF's endowed funds are designed to provide a permanent source of charitable dollars. Contributions help grow the principal of each fund, which can then generate grants or other charitable distributions in the future.
"Every gift helps strengthen the charitable resources available to our communities," Miller said. "Impact Day gives people a chance to support something they care about today while helping create opportunities for tomorrow."
Online gifts can be made through osborneccf.org beginning at midnight on September 24 through 11:59 PM on September 25. Gifts of grain may be made on September 25.
