Portion of Northern Russell County Road Closing for Reconstruction Project

A portion of a road in northern Russell County will be closed starting Wednesday, April 8, weather permitting.

According to a release from the Russell County Road and Bridge Department, a 2-mile stretch of 190th Street between Amherst Road and Paradise Road, south of Waldo and Luray, will be closed for a road reconstruction project.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route and be mindful of the construction area.

The road closure will last approximately 15 days and the Russell County Road and Bridge Department hopes to open it evenings each day to local traffic only.
