Public Meetings Seek Input on Kansas Water Priorities, Investments

The Kansas Water Office, Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas Department of Health and Environment are holding a series of local consult workshops to discuss the implementation of the 2022 Kansas Water Plan.

The agencies are inviting Kansans to join the conversation and share their thoughts on regional water needs, priorities and recommendations for funding, policy changes, ways to improve state capacity and water management, effectiveness of programs, and measurable goals and timelines.

People are encouraged to attend the local consult workshop in their region of the state:

  • Monday, June 17 from 5 to 8 PM at the Colby Event Center at 1200 South Franklin Avenue in Colby
  • Tuesday, June 18 from 9 AM to Noon at the Boot Hill Conference Center at 4100 West Comanche in Dodge City
  • Thursday, June 20 from 2 to 5 PM at the SEK Impact Conference Center at 1500 West 7th in Chanute
  • Tuesday, June 25 from 9 AM to Noon at the WSU Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 5015 East 29th Street North in Wichita
  • Wednesday, June 26 from 9 AM to Noon at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy at 2025 East Iron Avenue in Salina
  • Thursday, June 27 from 9 AM to Noon at the Burge Union at 1565 Irving Road in Lawrence
