Russell County Historical Society Hosts What's Up in Russell Coffee
The Russell County Historical Society hosted Tuesday's Russell Main Street, Inc. What's Up in Russell Coffee at 825 North Kansas Street in Russell.
Rosalee Hammerschmidt presented two donation checks of $500 each to Historical Society President Tim Boxberger. One was from the Class of 1957 and the other was from the Major Elijah Hyde Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which is disbanding.
Attendees at the event also heard Boxberger present the Historical Society's Annual Report.
Work continues on the new building at the corner of 9th and Main next to the Agriculture, Academics and Autos Museum. When complete, the building will house farm machinery and vehicles. The new building was made possible by donations from Harlan Radke and Radke Implement, Larry and Bonita Elsasser, Morris and Barbara Krug, and the Dane G. Hansen Foundation.
