Russell Groups Partner Together to Paint Fire Hydrants
On the night of September 13, Russell Rotary, Russell Kiwanis, the City of Russell Fire Department Explorer Club and the City of Russell Fire Department partnered together to help beautify Russell, one hydrant at a time.
According to Fire Chief Dylan Riedel, the groups partnered together to help paint fire hydrants throughout the City of Russell.
Together, the groups were able to paint 46 fire hydrants from 6 to 8 PM.
The week of September 11 through 17 marks a week of giving for Russell Rotary.
The organizations plan on having another painting night on Sunday, September 17 starting at 5 PM to wrap up the Rotary week of giving and to help incorporate Russell Interact, the high school club sponsored by Rotary.
There are 356 fire hydrants in total within the City of Russell.
